Sustainability

In December 2023, a comprehensive energy audit in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 was conducted within the framework of the Energy Services Act (EDL-G). The objective of this analysis was to systematically document the company's current energy usage, identify potential areas for savings, and derive long-term measures to enhance energy efficiency.

As part of the audit, key areas of energy consumption were examined and evaluated in detail. Based on this assessment, a total of seven concrete measures were defined, specifically aimed at optimizing energy consumption and fostering the sustainable development of the company's operational infrastructure.

These measures focus specifically on the following areas:

  • Lighting systems and their retrofitting with energy-efficient technologies
  • Heat generation and the optimization of existing heating systems
  • Compressed air supply, a significant energy consumer within operations
  • Building infrastructure and the energy-related improvement of technical facilities

Four of the identified measures have already been successfully implemented and now actively contribute to reducing energy consumption and boosting operational efficiency. The remaining three measures are currently undergoing detailed evaluation using the VALERI methodology to thoroughly assess their economic viability and technical feasibility.

Through this structured approach, CHEMOFAST underscores its commitment to systematically integrating energy efficiency and sustainability into its corporate processes and continuously refining them. The ultimate goal is to achieve a lasting synergy between environmental responsibility and economic efficiency.
